Sofia Walle
Operations and Marketing Intern
From a young age, I was fascinated by business and money, curious about how things worked, how value was created, and what it meant to build something of my own. While most of my friends played computer games, I was organizing my playdates in Excel and writing business plans.
This early interest naturally led me to pursue a degree in business, beginning at the University of Alabama. While I appreciated the academic foundation, I soon realized I was craving more hands-on, real-world experience. That realization prompted me to transfer to Syracuse University, where the program offered more opportunities for applied learning.
Although I wasn’t entirely sure where I wanted to end up, I’ve always been drawn to business ownership, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy. That’s part of why Davis Wealth Advisors felt like such a great fit. I joined the firm as a Financial Planning Intern during the summer, and the experience showed me how impactful financial planning can be in people’s lives. It also broadened my perspective on the many career paths within the field.
When Mindy approached me at the end of the summer with a position for the fall, I knew it was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up. This semester, I’m taking on a new role focused on marketing and operations. I’m excited to continue to fuel my hunger for real-world experience, and to gain a different perspective on the business, learning what it takes to support a financial planning practice behind the scenes and understanding how all the pieces come together to serve clients effectively. I look forward to gaining knowledge, mentorship, and day-to-day insights from the experienced professionals around me.
Outside the office, you’ll usually find me spending time with friends, relaxing at the beach, or pursuing my passion for health, wellness, and neuroscience.
